Colleague Campaign Success

St. Mary employees raise more than $125,000!  

When our employees were asked to consider St. Mary not only a place of healing but also worthy of their philanthropic support, the answer was an enthusiastic "yes".  During the six week campaign, employees from all areas of the hospital "invested" their support in keeping St. Mary at the forefront of advanced technology and the best clinical care.

St. Mary Medical Center kicked off its annual Colleague Giving Campaign on Tuesday September 1st. Campaign committee members were stationed in the cafeteria at lunch and dinner time handing out healthy snacks of apples and peanut butter to all staff, volunteers, and visitors. They talked about the campaign, discussed with colleagues the Centers of Excellence they can choose to support, and collected pledge forms.

Employees at St. Mary Medical Center make a donation for the very same reasons community members do — they realize the value of having access to world class healthcare close to home.Employees know the organization well and have the unique opportunity to see St. Mary's mission carried out every day in big and small ways. So not only do they work here, but they also believe enough in the organization and in each other to give something back.

Last year employee contributions totaled $104,000, and this year St. Mary colleagues shattered that historic number and raised more than $125,000.The 2010 Campaign, "Investing in Our Future", speaks to our employee's commitment to support the continued growth of a variety of programs and services our patients and community members rely on.
