Dr. Chon explains the revolutionary advance of SRS |
Donors Celebrate Frameless Stereotactic Surgery at St. Mary The future of Cancer Care has arrived On Thursday, January 21, honored donors gathered in the St. Mary Cancer Center to celebrate the installation of the Frameless Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) equipment that will help save the lives of patients with otherwise inoperable cancerous tumors. Dr. Mark McLaughlin of Princeton Brain & Spine and Dr. Brian Chon of Princeton Radiation Oncology, the two largest donors to SRS, gave passionate, yet humorous presentations to explain the treatment from both a neurosurgical and oncological perspective. Greg Wozniak, St. Mary President and CEO thanked the collective whole for their generosity in making this cancer treatment available now to our community. Donors then toured the facility for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the technology and processes that could one day save the life of a loved one. |
